This is Stereo

Jon and I recorded 4 live demo tracks for Jacobs band. This was so one of my favorite sessions!

We had everyone set up in a room. Douglas on an upright piano, Fabian on his beautiful drums, and Jacob with his guitar. Jacob brought his lamp for extra ‘vibe’. The tracks don’t sound ‘perfect’, but have an amazing feel to the songs, that you just cant get with overdubs.

Above shows my collection I created for my Foundation in Art and Design course at DMU. On Friday 15th, I was awarded the Christopherson Collection: Purchase Prize, for my work to become part of a living archive of Graduates and staff artwork collected over the centuries.

Currently on show 16th - 21st May 2009 at De Montfort University, Leicester.

We’ve been busy again, recording a 4 track EP for Martine Rygvold.

The EP will include an acoustic version of the dance track ‘Stop for a minute’, a fab live tracking of ‘After You’, a more upbeat ‘You and your ways’, and ‘You know me so well’.

I couldn’t help taking pictures as I ate this hunk of an egg, so that there will forever be a memory of this season’s activities…

From Bath Spa University, Good Night Jupiter are lovely chaps, and “an exciting, fresh, Pop/Rock outfit”. They came up to Liverpool in late February when we tracked 4 songs for their myspace, and EP.

I recorded and mixed all of these lovely tracks for them. More are available on their myspace, and hopefully you can catch them gigging near you soon!

Whilst recording some tracks for their myspace and forthcoming EP, I had some logo ideas for the band.

I showed them one, and they showed great appreciation for it and used it. So I suppose its another addition to my portfolio which I may as well document!

Jon, Joe and myself collaborated to produce this lovely track for Liz.

We took the original arrangement, sped it up, added a handful or brass, a pinch of cello, and after baking for a weekend, we shouted some group vox at it, which really topped it. Charlie even laid down some ill flute.
